As part of the Government of Kerala’s Gifted Students Programme, Centelon Robotics was designated as the Industrial Partner by the Kottarakkara Educational District to deliver structured training in Robotics, IoT, and AI to select students.

The Industrial Visit was hosted at M Squared Software & Services Pvt. Ltd., at Trivandrum, Kerala – providing students with exposure inside a live technology and engineering environment.

Objective of the Gifted Students Programme

The objective of the programme was to move beyond textbook instruction and introduce students to:

  • Applied robotics systems
  • IoT-enabled automation environments
  • Artificial Intelligence fundamentals
  • Research-oriented and real-world engineering contexts

The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical technology implementation.

Robotics and IoT Training Session

In collaboration with M Squared, the session was structured into two components.

The first focused on Robotics and IoT systems architecture. We introduced the students to our:

  • Live robotic platforms
  • IoT-connected devices
  • Sensor data acquisition
  • Controller logic and processing
  • Cloud connectivity and real-time monitoring
  • Automation workflows in industrial applications

Rather than simplifying concepts, in the session we mapped the complete system stack – including hardware layers, connectivity models, logic frameworks, and deployment environments.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Fundamentals

The second component introduced AI and ML fundamentals.

M Squared provided students with an overview of:

  • How AI models are trained
  • Where Machine Learning systems are deployed
  • How AI integrates with robotics and IoT systems
  • Industry use cases across healthcare, education, retail, and business operations

The discussion focused on implementation logic, system reliability, and emerging career pathways in AI and automation technologies.

Building Technical Clarity Through Real-World Exposure

Programmes such as this play an important role in building early technical clarity. While foundational theory is covered in school curricula, direct exposure to functioning robotics, IoT, and AI systems allows students to contextualise academic concepts within real engineering environments.

The level of engagement during the session was notable. Students asked questions around:

  • Deployment challenges in automation systems
  • Data reliability in IoT environments
  • AI model accuracy and limitations
  • Skills required for careers in robotics and emerging technologies

Centelon Robotics and Technology Outreach

Centelon Robotics designs and deploys IoT and Robotics automation systems across sectors including Water Utilities, Retail, Healthcare, Pharma and more. Participating in structured educational initiatives aligns with a broader responsibility – contributing technical expertise to formal outreach programmes where early exposure to emerging technologies is being enabled.

We acknowledge the Kerala Education Department and the Kottarakkara Educational District for facilitating this initiative, and M Squared Software & Services Pvt. Ltd. for hosting and coordinating the Industrial Visit.

Structured, applied exposure to IoT, Robotics, and AI builds informed interest and informed interest builds long-term technical capability!
